• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any ideas to get a stripped Transmission drain plug out?

Copper (not Aluminium) drain plug washers can easily be re-used by annealing them. Clean it well to remove all traces of oil & heat it to red hot using a gas flame (the wife's stove if she isn't around), then plunge it into a coffee cup full of cold water. Once it has cooled give it another wipe over and you are done.

A small dab of hb weld in where Torx/Allen whatever tool was... Make sure it's SMALL - a dab, just to have something to grip with, you can even notch it for a flat head screwdriver :dontknow: You mentioned just spinning, that’s a bad strip & you will likely need to tap new threads in the pan, not just a replacement plug. Good luck either way

All that may be required for other applications, but not for the Spyder. We've had customers bring in bikes that had no drain plug washer at all and they did not leak (not recommended). I've personally reused drain plug washers and O-Rings for 4 services without issue (also not necessarily recommended). I just did it to see if I could.

We have had customers bring in a bike with 2 drain plug washers stacked. If you don't check and the washer sticks to the case, this will happen. These always leaked. Go figure!

I think that's JB Weld. And you need to clean and rough up both surfaces to get a good stick.
