• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any ideas on what's wrong?

Can't get my RS SE5 out of first gear. Won't shift into neutral and the engine seems to make a strage noise when I try to go to neutral. Makes a surging up and down noise. Don't want to drive it under this situation since I don't know if it will go into 2nd or above. Now it's in the driveway and to try to trailer it to the dealer how do I get it down the narrow driveway while it's still in first without further damaging the tranny? I have tried shutting it off and restarting, taking the key out and starting over but it just stays in first. Called the dealer and they just say to bring it in they have no idea what's causing it. HELP!

I think that there's a section in the owner's manual describing just what you've got to get a wrench on to twist if shifting becomes an issue... Maybe if you attack it from that angle and manually work it through the gears it'll get the idea of what you want it to do and start co-operating again. (At least long enough to get it to the dealer!) Good luck!

There is a wrench in your tool bag and instructions in the owner's manual about getting it out of gear. Also, have you had the spark plug coil grounding wire update done? That fixed the problem on my GS SE-5. Also check the oil level, its shared with, and used by, the transmission shifting mechanism.
