• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Didn't find much color today so........

We went on a ryde today looking for some beautiful colors, but as of yet not much color has appeared:( so I just decided to take some landscape pictures. Sometimes I like to take pictures of water, hills and trees and once in a while I find a picture that is worth blowing up and framing......however these aren't that good and I forgot to take the date stamp off before I took the pictures.:dontknow: We hope to go back down thru this area in a week or so and maybe there will be some color. The pictures were taken on what is locally called "the Delaware Water Gap" I guess because it is in Delaware county in NY state. It is a water resevoir for NY City and usually the colors are tremendous and it is a very scenic ryde.....maybe we were just too early this year but we had a frost last night so that should help with more color in a few days....I hope!!

Here is the link to the pics:

A friend and I decided to ride the dirt roads today so, sadly, the Spyder stayed home. But colors are coming to southern Michigan and we were treated to quiet back roads and nature's beauty.ridingdirtroads.jpg

Y'all have such beautiful scenery to ryde through. Thanks for sharing!

This was the view we had this weekend going up the Trace.

Never complain about the rain...

I was out with the Ohio crew from advrider.com today. The colors were beautiful. That's me on the right.

S Indiana

We did a ride on rt 66 up to Leavenworth, IN. where we had lunch at Overlook Inn. It was a great day for a ride but
it might be a week or two to see the full color of the trees.

Nothing great to show off in the Catskill Mtn region of NYS... The Missus and I took about an 85 mile ride yesterday to" peep some leafs", and found that the colors are really muted this year. :gaah: We saw just 3 trees that any any decent red or orange; everything else was a washed-out yellow...
Still; a ryde is a ryde!

Skyline Drive, Virginia - Early Fall - 10/09/2011

What a beautiful day! Temps on the Drive were 65-75, and sometimes changed 6 or 7 degrees just topping a ridge from one side to the other. Eastern face was the warmer... something you don't notice in a cage! About 12 degrees warmer on the valley floor. Also, I met a very nice couple from Ontario, Canada, who trailer their Black RT-S behind their motor home and ride locally when they get to where thery're going. Only other Spyder I saw in 500 miles!!

2011 01.jpg

Check out the pictures of the bear! About 25-30' from the edge of the road, just grazing and getting ready to sleep. That was one of two I saw, the other one I couldn't get a picture of.

I shot around 15 min of Flip Video... I'm not happy with the mount; seems a little jumpy, but I'll work on that. I'll post a link to U-Tube when it's done uploading. About 2/3 into the video, I enter the one tunnel on the Skyline Drive, through a rock outcropping, and the only big group of bikes I saw all day, about two dozen, enter the other end! What a noise! I added a sound track instead of the recorded audio because, frankly, the Flip audio sucked!

Well, enjoy!!! (PS- when you add MD, WV and VA to your trip map, it sure looks a bunch better that just PA & DE....)

PS- Hey John- Check out those new Seal Floorboards!
PPS- Didn't get to install the HMT Brake Light before the trip... floorboards were [much] more important. Hopefully, I'll get to it this week.
