Any F3 owners with Shad Bags added Taillights? Need details?

I've noticed some F3 owners have Shad Bags. Did any of those owners mount additional tail lights behind their Shad Bags? If so, how difficult are they to mount? Cost? How well do they work? And where can you purchase them?

I saw a previous thread about the Shad Bags and there was some discussion about these tail lights. I just thought I'd start a new thread solely about the tail lights.

Thanks!

I apologize, but actually the lights are not part of the Shad Bags, instead they sit behind the Shad Bags.

They look like the below lights (which belong to loisk; Spyderlovers Member):

The only bags that I know of with internal lights are GIVI.
ADMORE sells a universal kit quite pricy to me.
If it's not Plug N Play could be a challenge.
Good luck maybe someone else has input.

I went a different route. Got these bags direct from the manufacturer in China as samples. $100 for the bags and $152 for shipping. Mutazu sells them in the US but only in black. They show up on Ebay for $300 sometimes shipping is included and sometimes not. Check carefully. They say or best offer but I never could get them to go lower than $300. It includes the mounting hardware as well so a big savings over most other offerings. Here is a show youtube clip.

So I'm clear, Zuni, the bags you show came with the "flashing tail lights?"

Hiya, the pic jack/9tda1dr posted of my bike shows the non-USA rear indicators.

They don't include running/tail or brake lights.

We are thinking of adding an LED strip, perhaps on the outer edge - wondering what led strips we can get which are bright enough? Will post pics if and when. Meantime, ideas welcome.

I have these. $300 shipped to the US. I also wired the lights to work as running lights, lower half, and brake lights upper half, then painted to match the bike. Additionally, I replaced the mount supports with round bar for a cleaner appearance.

Not for an F3, but same panniers.

The bags came with the led lights. The flashing was accomplished via a module I added.

@JimVonBaden

Great job on the painting! Completes the look and makes it appear as a part of the bike and not an afterthought.

Zuni,

Did the mounting hardware supplied for your F3 work correctly or did you have to make modifications?

If you are looking for any Sidebags, Cases, Trunks, Racks, GIVI cases and trunks whatever the storage needs we might have what you are looking for at a extremely low cost. Check out our website www.bakerbuiltairwings.com in our clearance section. All of the Sidecases and trunks can be mounted to an F3. We have a special mounting bracket which requires no drilling at all. You can mount trunks with our luggage rack. The sidecases can be mounted with or without the luggage rack. If you would like more info on an item feel free to contact us we will be happy to assist you.

They include tons of pieces. I did make one extra piece toward the front of the bracket for stability. It didn't shake without it, but I felt the need to over engineer.

Same kit I received. It should work for nearly any bike!

CJJAX, this is definitely the cheaper route to take. and the bags look good. Thanks so much for this information.

Jim, love the round stock you added. I've not worked with round metal stock. Can you show how you attached it to the frame of the bike?

I took it all back apart and powder coated it.

Came out decent and is sturdy. The mounts that came with it were plenty strong, but somewhat unattractive when the panniers were removed.

If you can't make your own, these are fine.
