• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any concerns with the idea of buying a 2017 F3 now?

Assuming all maintenance records are good, mileage just shy of 30K miles, would you have reservations buying a 2017 F3 at this point? I’ve read comments about the potential 10yr window on parts, and that’s my biggest hang up. Am I thinking correctly, or over thinking it?

Parts are available for more than 10 yrs. Its a few dealerships that decline to work on a Spyder more than 10 yrs old. You could ask your dealership how they do this age. Or if you have a capable independent shop has the availability to work on them. Or do most of the maintenance yourself, and save the money. For some issues you need BUDS software & interface cable to fix things.

I recently bought a 2016 F3-T. It only had 5k miles on it, so I had things I needed to check over and or replace.

But if the maintenance records are good and the price is right, then I would buy it.

I almost bought one with 30k miles on it last year, but it was a little beat up and he had a lot of extra lights and a giant horn mounted to the side. It just seemed a little too personalized for me. I would prefer to buy stock-ish and then make my own changes.

Appreciate the feedback. I’m definitely leaning towards making the buy. Prior to being traded in, it was ridden fairly regularly, so I’m hoping for no surprises. It does have some badging that is definitely personalized and will have to be replaced, but nothing too crazy. Thanks again.
