• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any comments on my Navigation Preference?

The 2020+ RTs (base and Limited) have gone completely to USB for power. The Limited has a couple USB ports in the trunk. All 2020+ RTs have a USB port in the glove box. Nothing in the frunk anymore. I'd need to figure out a way to either hardwire or find a compatible USB to GPS wiring harness.

Lamonster has your answer. Plate goes over the center of handle bars and has both 12v and USB power. Made for navigation units.

"Problem was Peggy was the navigator, and she was really not very good at it. That's why the stand alone GPS is a
godsend. :)"

Know that feeling well. :-( My wife couldn't find her way out of a paper bag, even if she had a flashlight. However, she's a bookkeeper, and she can find a .10 cent error no matter where it's hidden. :-) I use google maps 99% of the time with a Garman GPS as a backup.

I've already got one of Lamonts RAM mounts there. Adding that accessory would give me 12V power but still wouldn't solve the mounting issue. Besides, if I add another couple hundred bucks to the mix, I might as well buy a more expensive GPS that allows for a RAM mount (of which I have plenty on the bike). Looking at pics of the back of the GPS, it doesn't look like it would mount to anything other than the built in mount. Thanks, though.
