Any chart/pics to show where Oil change O rings need to go?

Well, it's almost time to put the Spyder to bed for the winter and once again I'm perplexed as to which goes where with the small O rings in BajaRon's kit. Is there a chart (maybe with pictures?) available to where each of the 4 small ones go? Thanks in advance for any insight.

As I see it, the 4 small rubber O rings are all different. Obviously the 5th, large one goes on the filter housing cover.
The drain plug uses two different sized O rings.

Gary, Gary, Gary. Next time, change them one at a time. The two thinner ones, go on the oil filter stick. One has a larger diameter than the other. Study it closely, and you can tell which one is the inner, and which one is the outer.

The two thicker ones go on the engine drain plug. Again, one is a larger diameter than the other. Again, one is inner and one is outer.

Yet another reason to use the XPS oil change kit. The O- rings are color coded.

I have only done one oil change so far on the Spyder. But I replaced the drain plugs with the magnetic ones. and I think they had crush washers on them.

Thanks Doug. I will be more observant this time. still going to stick with Rons kit though.

I have the XPS kit and I'm about to use it in my first Spyder oil change. I have less than 1k miles on my new 2023 F3 but since the oil has been in there for at least two years, I'm changing it.

I see that the O-rings and gaskets are all color coded. But where's the legend that tells which color goes where? There's nothing like that in the kit that I found. Are the OEM's also color coded? Just match the colors up?

I have done several oil changes and never had to change an O-ring; just move the O-rings from the original drain plug to the replacement plugs.

 So, if I am understanding, you use the same O-rings when changing oil, but you replace the oil plugs at each service? Y?

The very first time I changed my oil and filter on my 2021 Spyder I noticed one of the original oil drain plugs o-rings was split into two. I was glad to have purchased the o-ring kits along with my filters from Ron. I have never seen an o-ring in my long career with this defect. It certainly did not happen during its removal but I presume it was like that when it was installed at the factory. No mechanical problems were ever present with this defect under use but I was happy to discover it under low mileage and make this repair. It was very valuable to me to have this available at that time. I would recommend replacing all of the o-rings as standard practice along with the new crush washers for the drain plugs. It makes for good conscience to know everything is proper.

I changed the oil in my 2023 F3 Ltd SS last weekend. Look on page 131 under the maintenance procedures. It tells you which O-rings and washers, and where they go.

I hope the above link helps.
