• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any advice to stop a Ryker Rally 900 from smelling??

Not that I have a Ryker, but my wife does. She is saying it smells quite a lot after she has been for a ride on it; the only things I can think it may be are that the air filter for the CVT is possibly clogged up; or it's just the exhaust. Any advice would be welcome, as I don't ride it, I just want to fix it before there's any major issues.

I would check for an oil leak onto a hot surface. However, you should check the CVT air filter often. They can get clogged quickly. If that happens the belt will overheat and you'll need a new one in short order. Don't let a belt go too long, especially if it's been overheated. A broken belt will not only leave you stranded. But it can take some expensive parts with it.

I recommend a K&N filter for the CVT as it flows more air dirty than a paper filter does brand new. The drive belt depends heavily on good airflow to stay alive. Extending belt life will more than pay for this upgrade. You should still check it as even a K&N can get clogged. Smelling an overheated belt as an indicator of a clogged filter is not the way to go.

It isn't going to be an exhaust issue unless she's smelling the catalytic converter doing its job.

What kind of smell? I had a motorcycle that smelled bad, only to find out that mice had made a home in the tail during winter storage! :opps:
