My 2022 RTL is in but missing the usual components. The secure OEM backrest I ordered is back ordered and there is no estimate of when it will be available. Does anyone know of an aftermarket backrest that is secured under the seat like the OEM? I don't want one that can simply be pulled out without a fight. Thanks for your help.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
Any A/mkt backrests that are secured under the seat like the OEM?

I have the Utopia also but there's no way to lock it in that I know of. I wish there were.

It doesn't look like either the Utopia or the ShowChrome backrest gives you the security you're looking for.
One benefit to both aftermarket units, they come with a storage pouch for the passenger to use. The storage pouch for the Utopia is removable and converts to a purse. I like that a lot. The OEM one has no such ability.

Good luck with getting your 2022 backrest. I ordered my 2021 backrest in February 2021 when I bought the bike. Delay. Delay. My back was killing me so cancelled the order and dealer wrote me a check as it had been part of the purchase of the bike.
Got desperate and ordered the ShowChrome as Utopia was backordered... did not care for the ShowChrome.
Ordered the Utopia.. ahhh…. just like the Utopias on my other bikes…. felt like home.
As for pulling it out.. I have to wiggle it a bit but it does finally come out…. Its not just a slick, quick jerk and its out… on mine anyway.

Very true. However, for the 2020+, the mount is redesigned for easy removal with no means of locking it in place.

I have a Utopia that is removable ..... If I tighten the SET screw, it can't be pulled off without loosening or removing that SET screw ..... Mike :thumbup:....PS and to the OP ... go to Utopia's website and see what they currently have for your Spyder , I have had Six onBikes and think they are the best made ..... good luck ....
