The conversations I had a few weeks back with BRP officals, was told the 09's wouldn't be produced until the first week of November, and not available until the second week.

As I put in an earlier post, I was at my dealer today. and he has a red 09 sm5, and 3 red 09 se5's which are sold. He received them Wed.

Mine was recieved by the dealer on Wed and is an 08. I'm wondering if it's the very last of the 08's.
How do VIN#'s work? Are the last digits sequential?

I would absolutley demand an '09 at this point...no way would I take a full year depreciation for 1 month of use. Makes absolutely no sense that 08's are stacking up at dealers and you still don't have yours! When I worked for motorcycle shops, there was usually an interdealership agreement that if we/they had a customer and a shop had a bike in the inventory, it would be sent and the customer satisfied.

10th digit in the VIN : The vehicle year: 8 for 2008, 9 for 2009, A for 2010....

I picked mine up yesterday & it is an 09 & I paid the 08 price as quoted.:2excited:
