Antifreeze leak

I have a friend that has a 2016 F3 Spyder and it was showing an antifreeze leak under the water pump. When it was idling and rode normal it never showed any leak but when he would rev the engine up to 4000 RPM and above the one hose out of the water pump would show a leak. I just figured it was the hose clamp so I replaced the hose clamp and it seemed to have stopped it. Now today it was showing a leak again. I think it could be the water pump itself. I am wondering if where the hose slides on and clamps if that could be cracked. Has anyone ever had this problem? This gentleman really does abuse this Spyder running it at very high RPM. The first couple days he rode it normal and it never showed any leaks. Now today he told me he had been really revving it at high RPM. He sometimes runs it through every gear and shifts at about 4000 RPM. Why I don't know. At high RPM it seems to put a lot more pressure on that water hose but I know it should not leak.
The Spyder has always been abused. This gentleman's brother owned it prior to him and it only had about 6000 miles on it and they had to replace the tires plus the belt and one of the sprockets. This was just because of abuse. His brother said he always had to add antifreeze to it so it must had been leaking for some time. I don't think I am going to work on it as long as he abuses it like he does.

Shifting at four grand isn't going to hurt it but taking your word that both owners have "abused" it, I'd leave the guy to his own problems. You've done what you thought would correct the problem and can legitimately claim it's above your pay grade.

Thanks for the come back. I agree shifting at four grand should not hurt it but I just don't do it. He has told me the engine has gotten pretty hot a few times with him and I have no ideal what his brother did with it. I really thought replacing the hose clamp would take care of it. It don't leak if he rides it normal.

Well...

I agree with JayBros and think at this point checking the waterpump seals is the way to go. Not knowing how this motor has been treated it may need seals or a new pump....

I shift between 3500 and 4000 and don't consider that to be abuse. It is just smmmmooooth at that speed.

Take the spyder to the dealer and get it fix.
That would be great if you had a dealer in the area that would know what to do. All the Can Am dealers in our area don't seem to care about Spyders just four wheeler's. We are in an agriculture area and very farmer has four wheeler's and that's where their sales are.

I also agree, get it to a dealer. I noticed a slight smell of antifreeze after riding but could not pinpoint where it was coming from but it finally reared it's ugly head. Had to use a mirror to actually see the leak along the gasket area almost behind the oil cooler. At dealers now being repaired.

Waterpump

My 2016 RT leaked and it required a waterpump replacement. One day I could smell a whiff of anti-freeze, the next day it just poured out.

It's likely to be one of the Oetiker clamps. There are more than one. Where they are used on a plastic fitting it is likely to start leaking. It is a fairly common problem on the RT models, so I don't see why it wouldn't be the same for the F3s. Oetiker clamps and plastic piping is not a good combination.

I did replace the all the Oetiker clamps around the water pump hoses where it looked like it was leaking. He went for two days and it never showed any signs of leaking. I thought it was fixed and then the third day it was leaking again. It seems to be around the water pump.
