• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Anti-Freeze leak on 2 new RT's

So I noticed that my RT was leaking little bit of anti-freeze. I cleaned it up, read the posts on this forum tightened the famous hose clamp but still have a small drip. it falls in the tray and can be seen by shining a light from the right side down below the hose clamp that everyone tightens.

It appears to me that the small leak is coming from the water pump.

Well I decided to take a look at my wife's RT and she has the same thing. Its a very small drip. a couple of drops, both coolant levels appear fine , the temperature on both run fine, but a leak is a leak.

I will be call BRP and the dealer tomorrow. These bikes were purchased 2 weeks apart at different dealers. Both bikes have less than 1000 miles.

This is pretty frustrating.

Any ideas, comments, suggestions?

Thanks Pete

Don't let it frustrate you, let the dealer take care of it. There is a service bulletin for water pump leaks on some RTs. Not sure if it applies to yours. There are other possible sources of leaks that can collect in this area, too. Give the dealer a chance to make it right.

Just curious - did you have the 600 mile service yet? wondering if the dealer checks for a possible leak since this is a known potential problem?

I did oil changes to both. My dealer (the one I prefer) could not get me in until Sept.

I have an RS and have a small coolant leak that I saw coming out of a "weeper" hole on the engine. If you remove the cover at the top of the trunk, shine a light in and see if you can see it leaking. I am on my phone -- check out my post on the Shoptalk forum for pics and more.

I am going to call my dealer tomorrow to schedule a time for them to check it out.
