Antenna options for ST Limited?

We would like to put a shorter antenna on our STL. Does anyone know of any options? Can we eliminated it using a FM antenna bypass or will this cause problems?

Mine picks up stations without one. But I tried the wally world shorty & it was inconsistent with music/ voice while riding. If you go with wally world one- Don't use lock tight on double sided screw thingy or it will be a pain in the A.. if you need to remove- Don't ask how I Know

Did you put it in the original location or did you put it somewhere else. Do you have a photo of it on your STL?

Is the mast on the STL removeable or does the whole antenna have to be replaced?

I see that the mast is removeable. I took it off last night and we picked up a shorty at Wal-Mart. Going to put it on tonight.

I installed a J&M CB onto my ST-L....so had to install CB antenna...so 2 antennas looked really bad on the ST so Mark just removed the radio antenna....wrapped the wire around the underneath of the seat and now I only have CB antenna ...radio works just fine

Sorry about not replying sooner.

With the Corbin saddlebags the antenna was moved to the underside of the fender. I just removed the long piece and put the shorty on.
