• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Comfort Seat does not sit back more than the stock seat. The difference is in the positioning of the lumbar support. It actually sits farther back than the one on the stock seat. See the pictures below. The left seat profile is the Comfort Seat, the next profile to the right is the stock seat, the next picture to the right is the stock seat from above and the last one, second row, is the Comfort Seat. The two overhead pictures show how BRP truncates the lumbar support on the Comfort Seat so as not to encroach on the passenger's seat room. I find the Comfort Seat most comfortable and at 6'3"+ bought it as part of the OTD deal. Am no longer the 6'5" I once was but that loss is all in vertabra, discs, etc. Legs are still the same as years ago.

.........or not take a risk and get a Daylong that is made for your 6'5" frame. As JayBros says, it's your inleg that is the critical measurement, not your overall height, especially on an RT where you have no foot position options.

On the daylong is the pan the stock pan,

Daylong get you to take photos of yourself on the stock seat. You then either send your stock seat to them for a week or so, plus ship times, or buy a cheap second hand seat of the same model to send to them......

Yes, the seat uses the OEM seat pan. Yes, I have one. Yes, I am 6'5". Yes I love it. I had one on my GS and it was my first mod on my RT. You send your old seat in and they use the pan to make the new one. You have to send pictures of you sitting on your Spyder along with certain measurements. If you want them to move the sitting position back they will do that. Just be aware the more to add to the drivers seat, the less you will have for your passenger. If you wait until the November/December timeframe they have had a sale in the past. You will need to call them about it. They DO NOT advertise it. They will schedule a build date and about 2 weeks before that day they will notify you to send your seat. Shipping is on you.

Here you go, Mosess. Not the most attractive seat in the world, but if you want all day comfort, this is the seat that will guarantee it. I am having one built "as we speak"......and yes, I am taller than 6'5"

Comfort seal black w/red stitching

I recently purchased a 2015 RT-S "Special Series" red/black. The seat is black with red stitching. I too have the same issue and would like to move back some to give my legs more room. Especially to get to the brake pedal. I have read thru many of your posts and opinions and am still deciding. The question I have can you get the comfort seat and drivers backrest in black w/red stitching so to match the passenger backrest? I have checked with a couple of dealers and no luck so far.

I have the same SpyderCodes as you do. I put on a Comfort seat and it only comes within black stitching. Love the room and comfort though!
