• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Removal and installation of the rear wheel was super easy, local motorcycle shop did the change. 20 psi and good to go.

Tried that tire and had to switch to a Kumho. Had too good of grip on the road and wanted to follow the grooves. Does the same on my cars but much easier to deal with on a car. Too bad because you get a lot of miles on them and they have great traction. My speedometer was actually right on with the gps too.

I know it's a debated subject but it seems tire pressure with the General is critical. I choose 20 because from exhaustive reading that seems to be the give or take average pressure.

That's a cold 20. It can and will heat up to 25+.

But probably not more than 3 lbs. ..... that's why I recommend 17-18 cold to start with ..... the tire pressure is part of how the suspension feels ie. Comfort.... any car tire has far more strength than any Kenda used on Spyders ..... just a thought .... Mike :ohyea:

I am also on my second tire( General Altimax RT 43) on my spyder.

I ride solo, and 26 PSI.

I ran the General Altimax RT 43 on the rear of the spyder.

I have 15K miles on mine and it does NOT do that at all!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got 9864 miles on the Kenda, from reading past posts it looks like I'll easily double that on a tire that cost 1/2 as much and is supposed to perform better. My limited riding on the RT it seems to ride about the same and that's OK with me.

Does Florida have grooves in the road and if so do they run parallel or perpendicular to the road surface? Here they run parallel, and on new construction they really want to follow them like railroad tracks. No problem on smooth roads or where they’ve worn down.
