• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi Everyone.

I've been lurking for a couple weeks. Love the site . So much info. My new (to me) 2011 RT Limited was just delivered yesterday! This is my first Spyder. I took my MSF class last year and have been tooling around on two wheels but it just wasn't comfortable for me. This Spyder is a much better fit.

I am am the second owner of this Spyder. The previous owner put a few extras on it including Glo Ryder wheel lights, a Bumpskid, and highway pegs. I also found this in the trunk......

I assume it's a remote for an alarm system. It has no markings on it at all. I have to replace the battery in it but, until then does anyone know for sure what this is and which button does what?

Thanks in advance. I'm so happy to be here:D

:welcome: and :congrats: on your 2011 RT. That is a good ride.:yes:

Cannot help with the remote question. Others will probably have a good answer.

According to Glo Ryders web site, you can turn the lights on/off and change the color of the lights using the key fob. Could that remote be the key fob?

Welcome..!! Welcome..!!

to the spyder world and this most informative site..congrats on your new ryde..:2thumbs: as for the remote, some led lighting systems had remotes and as you said could be an alarm or forgotten by the last owner and has nothing to do with your spyder. Push a few buttons and see what develops...

:welcome:
You didn't touch the top left button; did you??? :yikes:

:roflblack::joke:
Don't forget to brush after EACH ride...

The most dangerous

six word question in the world is "I wonder what would happen if". The most dangerous 6 word answer is "only one way to find out"

Welcome to the Forum from Central Washington. Good site and good folks. I think that fob is a remote for A Vivint Home security system.

Looks like the remote for underbody lights my wife had on her '11RTS she traded last year for a '14 RTL

:welcome:

I was like you. Got my license through the MSF class, rode 2-wheels and didn't feel comfortable, and bought a 2011 RTS!

I can't help with the remote question, but I'm sure you'll get some ideas here. Welcome to the Spyder-verse!

That's It!

This is is exactly what it is . A new battery in the remote and the whole bike lights up in many different colors:ohyea:. Awesome! On the other hand, I was changing the batteries in the Glo Ryder Wheel Lights when one of the circuit boards started smoking :yikes:. Think I'll remove the batteries in those and maybe get new ones.

Thanks for all all the welcomes and ideas.
