Setting back should help, but if that's not your natural position something else will bother you. Fix one thing cause another. You know how that goes.
Some have added a by pass in lieu of the cat converter....without doubt that would eliminate a lot of heat. However, you are under warranty, and doing so could cause friction between you and your dealer, or a dealer on the road should you need to visit one on a trip.
Whatever you do. I suggest doing one thing at a time so you can objectively weigh benefits.
Perhaps one day we'll get together with you lost wages folks. In the winter of course :roflblack:
