• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Been reading this forum for awhile. Asked about the SE5 transmission because of having cut off my left fingers 2 years ago, got answers and have just kept reading up until today.

Wife and I finally drove over to Matthews Fun Machines in NC to actually look at and sit on them. First, found out that I had enough "stub" of left forefinger to actually use the downshift button. Second, thought we were headed toward an RT Limited until my wife got on the back behind me. That's when her claustrophobia set in, but she didn't tell me at first. She was drawn to the ST. I said I thought the RT would be more comfortable for her as a passenger. She kept looking at the ST though. They had an STS with backrest on and she liked that, but wanted the bags. She finally opened up to the claustrophobia and that the RT made her feel hemmed behind me, while the ST with backrest didn't. Said she would ride anywhere with me on the ST.

Long story short, I am now the proud owner of a Blackcurrant ST Limited. Pick it Thursday, since they had to add the backrest to it and that's my next day off.

Again, just wanted to add thanks to this forum and to you all, for getting me back on a bike after I thought I lost that when I cut my fingers off.

This is a great forum and great people. We have to wait a few more weeks to ride, still to cold in Michigan. You will have a blast on the Spyder!!!

Welcome

Welcome to Spyder World. Just a few warnings on your new adventure:
1. Spyders are addictive! Not only do you want more than one, there's the Farkles.
2. Spyders cause your face to hurt! All that smiling can cause pain.
3. It takes a lot longer to run errands on a Spyder. Not only do multitudes of people approach you and ask all kind of questions, you will find that you always seem to take the long way home because the ride should never end.
4. There aren't any more. Just enjoy your new ride.

:congrats:the purchase of your ST Limited. You will find yourself riding places you only dreamed of. And welcome to the Spyderlovers group. Ride Safe & Long
