Another new Spyder Owner Extended Warranty

Hopefully this is not a second post, first time posting to a forum. We are about to become new owners of a RT-S SE5 Pure Magnesium Metallic Spyder. My question for the forum, should we buy the B.E.S.T. protection plan? We were quoted a prices of $1200 :gaah:, which is more then I paid for the extended warranty on my new SUV...just seems kind of high to me. What do you think?

Too high. I am a big fan of the BEST warranty, and when I bought my used RT, I bought one, which was supposed to cost $225 MORE than the one you are looking at. I was told the MSRP for the BEST was $1800, but actually paid $800 for it.

If you search the threads, I recall a supporting dealer offering the BEST for around $800 to members...

At first blush that price seems high. However, I think it necessary to compare oranges to oranges and not oranges to apples. I paid I think it was in the area of $800.00. I was also offered some kind of "service plan" that was in addition to the $800.00. Perhaps your dealer is also including this service plan in the over all extended warranty price. You might look into that.

:welcome: Shop for the best price on the B.E.S.T. or beat your dealer down ! I wouldn't wait to buy it after you get your :spyder2: as it will cost more . I think its like 75.00 more per year after 30 days. Not 100 % sure on the cost but its more after you have bought the :spyder2:.

:welcome: & :congrats:. Buy the B.E.S.T. but $1200 is high for a purchase within the 30 day grace period. I bought my B.E.S.T. warranty just last fall (way past the 30 days) for $800 & something, my Spyder will be two years old this April.

Ditto to what most here have said. Get the B.E.S.T. maybe even the B.E.S.T.Plus. Both my husband and I have that and it has paid for itself in the included Service calls alone. I think we each paid about $1200 but as I mentioned it was for Plus not just B.E.S.T. Also, like others have mentioned check one of the site sponsors, Bert's and give them a call, they may be your best deal.
