There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Another mpg report

ARtraveler

R.I.P. Dwayne
Tank #5 Low fuel light went on at 202 miles. 203.4 miles driven, 5.57 gallons to fill. (36.517) I will call this one 37 mpg. 3 tanks now at 37 mpg and 2 tanks at 38 mpg.

You're just gonna have to swap Linda's bike out for a 2014... Think of the savings in the fuel budget!! :2thumbs:

I really would if I could. I am a very happy camper with the 2014. It appears they did it right. I even find now that the ride is a lot different from the 2011. It was like going from the RTS to the RS when I used to test drive it once a week to make sure that all was well.

Nice!

Yes, the 2014 RT is getting very good MPG numbers. I am enjoying the ryde very much and do a quick check on MPG just to see what affects it the most. Fuel usage certainly went up on interstate driving 75+ MPH....we all know that. I got our best fuel mileage with my wife and I going to a MN Spyderlovers ryde (Woodbury to Mora, MN and then going to Cloquet).....all on 55 MPH roads....it was 37.6 MPG....

I am very happy with the 2014 RT as it's getting much better mileage than my 2012 RT. I really like the lower RPM's at cruising speeds and the smoothness of the ryde, shifting, etc. :D

I think you are starting to catch up with me on your miles on the bike. I only have about 1350 miles so far.....this weekend will be adding many more miles of smiles!!!!

I am at 1350 as we speak. Another 150 or so after tonight's group ride.

Just hit 1000 miles. We usually get 37. But this trip we got 39 in mixed back roads and interstate. Tom :trike:

YES 40+MPG! GREAT...

JLspyder2012 and I just did a ride yesterday where we both got 40 mpg :yes::yes:

Thanks Les for posting......here's some additional info.

We both rode our 2014 RT Limited's. Some wind in our face going on the trip......Les got slightly higher MPG (I think it was 0.3-0.4 better) than I did ---- I had 40.36 MPG -- first time I got over 40 MPG! We both were riding 2 up so it was great to see such good mileage!:yes::yes:

I think Les's bike has about 2600 miles on it and mine has about 1800 miles on it with this mileage -- best yet!!! Very please with my 2014 RT Limited -- it's a AWESOME machine!:ohyea::ohyea::thumbup:

Here's a few photo's to remember this fun trip!

Yep...MPG awesome...Kenda tires not so awesome

WOw what an improvement, in all areas, on the '14. My last three tanks have been 39+- 40.. and that was pulling loaded trailer and going about 5 over speed limit. So 65-70. No complaints from this happy owner. Well, yea...think BRP needs to renegotiate their formula with Kenda...those tires just ain't cutting it for me. Trailer Kenda's lasted 3000....replacing rear Spyder tire by 7000 (I'm at 5300 now and almost to wear bar). Bye Bye Kendas...nojoke

Keep close watch on the tire. Mine was at wear bars at 4500 and slick as snot at 5700! :sour:

I'm sure that it's mostly due to the crappy Commiefornia gasoline, but my 14 RT is only delivering about the same MPG as my old 08. Varying from 28 MPG to 35 MPG under mostly highway driving and some low speed back roads mixed together.

Alabama and back

Today I left for Montgomery, AL from Atlanta, GA with my 17 year-old daughter on back. Starting out with half-a-tank which was in city riding. Second half of tank was mostly interstate. The low fuel light came on at 182 miles. First fill-up was 33.6 MPG. The second fill-up was after mostly interstate mileage and was 33.9 MPG.

Leaving for Missouri next Friday by myself so it will be interesting to see what I get then.

Fuel saving

It's great to read the fuel savings that you guys and girls are getting with your 2014 RT's, all the money you save on fuel will help towards the cost of your rear tyres ;) just sayin.
