• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

cliff fargasson did my alignment recently, it IS worth the money.i think one wheel was out 1/2 inch and the other was out 7/8 . the steering is now effortless, and much more accurate, if that makes any sense.you don't notice it going around a corner, but you do notice it going around a bend, or through a sweeper. noticable improvement on the expressway too. i followed a semi, at about 80 feet on his right flank. the wind was beating hell out of me, but the spyder didn't budge. it stayed the course perfectly. money well spent i m o.

:clap::clap: Same for me. With the BajaRon swaybar, links, & then a Laser alignment, it is a different machine. Now, mind you, you can't throw an RT Ltd with a trailer hard into a twistie, but even so it is much flatter & more stable than before. Gives the Missus more confidence, which is important. Highly recommended.

My ST-L's right was out about 1-1/2". The left wasn't so bad but both were a little to the right. I had to fight it when going left. Now it's a breeze. (Sway bar helps a bunch too)

Normally, if the alignment is out, with most bikes the laser points to In between the lines. Mine was outside!

when i did my wifes 2014 it was out 3/4 inch on both sides. it would pull from one side to the other. after the alignment you can ride with one hand.

I'm planning on getting this done as the bike is twitchy. To the people who had it done do you have a swaybar or not? And if not, was the difference still huge?

I think you've misunderstood me :)

Question about the wheel alignment is did it make a huge difference to the steering of the bike without a swaybar vs having it done after having a swaybar fitted..

My bike is really twitchy, loves to drastically change direction when it hits a bump. I've been told a swaybar and a wheel alignment will help, do I have to do both or would just a wheel alignment fix most of that?

I had both done at spyderquest. HUGE HUGE difference.
Can't speak for one vs the other. if the opportunity there get both done.

MONEY WELL SPENT!!!!

variables

how many miles have you put on the bike? are you used to it yet?
what is your front tire pressure? too much will make it squirrelly.
laser alignment is a huge improvement. the bike will steer and handle excellent.
the ronbar is a noticable improvement. it reduces body roll in turns, it won't really have an effect riding a straight bumpy road, like a rough highway. what bike is it? do you have adjustable shocks? if so, try adding some pre-load too.

HI ttc, lozza from Vic here - had laser alignment on RS which I'd previously ridden for 3 yrs - no swaybar change - made an enormous difference, I couldn't believe it was the same spyder. If you've ridden our "south gippsland highway" you'll know what I mean. I call it the 'handkerchief road' due to all the patching and resulting 'uneven' surface (a big understatement). Now I've traded for an ST, and laser alignment is the first priority. Lots rave about the swaybar, but I suggest try laser alignment first, and see if it does the job for you.

I can't imagine my Spyder handling better than it does. I can easily drive with one hand. Sweepers are solid. Could it possibly have been correctly aligned from the dealer?

Anything is possible. Rolo did mine and they said if wasn't out there would be no charge:yes:
