• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

another job i would never do

Seeing how close he's running that saw, to the line that holds him in the tree...

Crazy..!!

I would be clamped on so tight that tree would snap and we both would come down...:roflblack::roflblack:

I used to work with a guy who was too cheap to hire someone - so he tried to do it himself. It took 125 stitches to close him up :yikes: and he still didn't get the tree cut off.

Last year my bosses dad had to have is nose reconstructed after the chain saw kicked back on him. Could have been a whole lot worse:yikes:. I use to cut and split wood to burn to heat the house. After a near miss or two I decided it was not worth it.

That saw was fantastic, went through the wood like it was butter! I used to do these back the 70's for part time work. No spikes, no safety gear other than my googles and a rope tied from my belt to the chain saw. Same idea, limbing, topping and cutting down trees on peoples yards. I made a lot of money on each job but I was knocked out of the tree on several occasions. This would happen when I got lazy and tired to cut too large of piece to save time and some times they would hinge and come back and knock the tree so hard it would cause me to loose my grip. I never got hurt but had some very close calls. When I started doing automotive detailing as a business I stopped topping but still did a of cutting and splitting where it was possible.

Gee... :D I've got five pine trees next to the office... They used to be about 60 feet tall... I had a local fella take about 20 feet or so off the top..
.
Now he's out fo the business, and I'd like to shorten those suckers up by another 10 or 15 feet... :D
