• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another dumb question

Let's see..!!

the bolts holding the cables to the battery generally are 6mm x1.25. The length may vary with battery styles. Just make sure it doesn't bottom out or you will not get a good connection..

Many thanks...mine has a few connections and I'm running out of engaging threads.

I highly recommend that you consider installing an auxiliary fuse block. Multiple connections at a battery terminal is an invitation to difficulties with corrosion, broken teminals, etc. I recommend that you never add more than 1-2 additional connections to the factory connections. In addition, substituton of standard bolts for the battery bolts is a sure way to start electrolytic corrosion. JMHO

I used a panel screws from my RS-S. The they stay tight due to you can get T30 screw driver on them. I also use star washers and dielectric grease to finish the job. I did that at 2,000 miles and at 13,000 they are still tight and corrosion free.

For clarification...I have only added one connection for my heated gloves to the original so I figured the load on the terminal wasn't overly high.....I just need a new screw about 3 mm longer than the original because I believe I'm marginal on the number of threads in engagement.

As long as you have a thread or two sticking through the nut on the back side, you are good. I think most of us have a single extra connection, and some have two...without problems. In my opinion, substituting a plain bolt for the coated battery bolt is a bigger risk.
