• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another CCW weapon question

MJW, I already have a pair of Glocks, a 32 and a 27 both in 357 sig for summer use that would take the place of the XD's or I would have gone that route.

for the OP go for the SIG in any Caliber that you can handle but keep in mind that while it would be nice if carrying concealed would be comfortable it's the overall purpose that is important and comforting.

Knight,

I meant XDs, not XD's. The XDs is smaller than any production Glock. The 32 and 27 are more in line with the XD or XDm compact. As for comfort, it has to be or most will stop carrying. Even a small .380 BUG in your pocket it better than the .40 or .45 that's back home in the safe.

I now carry a M11-A1 Sig. Formerly known as a P228. Probably a little more then I need, but I love it to death. Grip safeties and I don't have a good history is another reason I bought this model. Twice on my Gold Cup I didn't grab it right and I lost time on COF. Talk about frustrating.

After 10 years with a Taurus PT111 and a Bersa .380 I have lost my taste for small guns and polymer. My competition gun is a wide body .38 Super, so this 9mm does not bother me. I wanted a heavier gun that I can rely on and I don't have to fight with because I can't hang on to it with 2 fingers even though I use my left for 40% of the support.

In my opinion a reliable well made gun is worth every penny. Research and more research until your head spins for sure and as for Glocks, even though they are a "plastic" gun, and if you are comfortable with the grip, the damn things just don't seem to die.:D

Just my 2 cents worth. GoodLuck !!!!:)
