• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another Brake Failure Issue.

Ok, running out of ideas and really don't want to take this thing to the dealership.

Things I have checked:
Brake light is working perfectly
Brakes seem to operate perfectly
E-brake is perfect
Checked and filled both brake fluid tanks
Checked battery connections to make sure they are secure
Did the 3 key cycle test to try to clear the warning but the msg just keeps coming back to haunt me.

Ran the "code check" and the only code I am seeing is "0 C0049" .

Any other ideas of things to check or places to look to get rid of the annoying error??

C0049 is the code for low brake fluid. Be absolutely sure your reservoirs are full. They often look full enough, but still trip the switch. If levels are OK, it could be a bad fluid level sensor or a wiring/connector failure. The normal switch value is "open", so disconnecting it should work temporarily.

OK, just pulled the rear side panel loose and pulled both sensors out and the light went off. I put the rear tank sensor back in and the light stayed off, re-installed the front tank sensor and the error / light popped back on. I check the level of the front tank again and it seemed within spec, but i went ahead and added a light more fluid, reset the light and it came right back on. Looks like a bad sensor to me? So I guess I will just leave the front sensor out until I have a bigger reason to visit the dealer?

thanks for the quick response and helpful info!!

You could swap the sensors and see if the rear fails, if so you know it's a bad sensor. They are the same part number.
