• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Analog fuel guage accuracy on RT-S?

bouncy gauge/fuel milage

My analog gauge bounces a lot. Dealer said BRP said that was normal. Guess they're wrong again. When my gauge is dead on empty I usually get 3.5 to 3.9 gallons to fill up. The most I've put in was 4.2. I take a look in the tank so I don't overfill. Best milage was 118 miles before the gauge went to empty. Two up, no addded cargo, average speed 50 mph.

A revised gauge is available that will stop the bouncing. If you can't get satisfaction from the dealer, contact Carlo at BRP tech support..

The bouncing gauge is NOT normal. Mine was bouncing when I turned the key on, before I even sat down. Had one dealer tell me that was normal, of course this is the same dealer that tried to tell me I didn't have a air shock on the rear. Just had it replaced last weekend (different dealer) and it's rock solid now.

Haven't had a chance to run it down to the gas light coming on since installing the new one. But I've been getting 27 mpg, light comes on around 125 miles.

My new one hit the light today about half way (or a bit more) into the red. Took 5.1 gallons at that point. With the old gauge, it hit the light after it went well below the red...took the same amount of gas. I range from 25-28 mpg. I just look for a station every 100 miles or so.
