• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

An Oily Can 'o Worms

Sorry for starting another oily thread. Inquiring minds would like to know. I saw that Rotella T6 is NOT to be used in the 998 because of slipping clutch issues. When I looked backward, I saw that the issue came up early on in Spyder history. Since then, Rotella T6 has gone through some changes. Comparing now to then might change things. I found a clean oil sample of the current T6 done in February of this year. I compared the analysis to blackstone information on amsoil offered here. I don't see major differences now... unless I'm missing something. Could it be that the current T6 is not the devil in oil form for 998's? Bueller? Bueller? (Popping popcorn). Thanks for tolerating me! :)Rotella+T6+Results.png
