I am planning on going to Americade again this year. I could have sworn that I saw Corbin there last year, but maybe it was two years ago. I'd like to get the saddle-bags while I am there this year, but didn't see Corbin listed as being there last year (which is a probable indication of this year as well). It is usually quite convenient to get the install done with the purchase (often free). The exchange rate is getting a little crazy and the Canadian Duty/Customs fees are crazy.
If it is not likely that I can get them while I am there, I'll start looking around some border states to see what kind of "deal" I can find. Does anyone know if they will be at Americade this year?

Corbin was at Americade last year. I saw the Spyder acess. for the first time there before the "Homecoming" at Valcourt.

Yep, a number of people that I met at The Homecoming had pre-purchased Corbin's Spyder accessories (seats, saddle bags) at Americade last year.

I got the "official" word from Corbin. the WILL NOT be at Americade this year. I guess I will look around and see what Corbin Canada might be able to do for me. Looks like "installation included" is out the window, for now anyway. Thanks for your feedback. Hope to see some of you at the "Ranch" this year

In light that Corbin Mfg. is for sale, they have already sold their rig and trailer and are no longer doing any rallies.

I was told by Lamonster a friend of his actually bought the old Corbin rig and now does air horns out of it.

:agree: I thought that maybe TourExpo was charging too much. The booth was always VERY busy though and I was sure that they made on the deal. Now that I hear they sold the Rig and are not going to do any more rallies, I guess it might be another "cutback" due to te economy

Thanks Lamonster. I am hoping that if I buy the Corbin Bags I will still have a place to go to for parts/service etc.

If you buy from Corbin be prepaired to wait and wait and get no responce from your calls. Customer service sucks. Paid all my money up front told 5 weeks . Ordered heated seat, back rest and hard saddle bags, got the seat in 3 weeks and after 8 weeks still no saddle bags. 3 calls to Corbin before anyone returned my call and told at least 2 more weeks. And you know if they told me straight out it will be 10 to 12 weeks great i can live with that knowing it will come then, but tell me 5 weeks and then take 10 weeks to deliver having all my money upfront sucks. :gaah::gaah::gaah:

:gaah: and I have to check out dealers in Canada!. If only I could ride over to No Magic Neon and pick up the bags....maybe even have them installed "while I wait" LOL. I will just practice that ol' Canadian PATIENCE. (with a PLEASE and THANK-YOU)

WOW! I guess I need to get my head out of the sand more often---I had NO idea they were selling the company. I always viewed them as the "Cadallic" of seats, bags, etc. Let's hope they're bought my someone who continues that tradition!
