There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Americade

I just wrote Scott Walker a few days ago asking the same questions but haven't heard back. Last year the BRP sponsored trip to Lake Placid was on Thursday so we scheduled around it. No evidence that they will have an event or that it will be on the same day.

If I hear from Scott, I'll post it here.

Got my reservations set for Americade June 9th-13th at Lake George RV Resort. Taking the toy hauler and staying with 2 other couples from
Long Island, one with a Spyder and of course mine. Anyone else going?

Sorry I didn't see your thread. I posted something similar earlier today.
I will be there again this year. Hope to see some Spyder Lovers there again this year. Hopefully BRP will come out and organize something again. Had a blast last year!

I stay on Beach Street and will be there all week. (Already registered for the rally)

If BRP doesn't do something soon we'll just have to do something on are own. Pick a date and a place to meet and go for a ride. We could all do the Luau.

Evan where you you be located at americade?

Our rig will be set up at McDermott's Harley Davidson in Fort Ann (just outside of LG) it's a nice short ride there.

Once again they did not have room for our tractor trailer at the LG Million Dollar Beach vendor area. :gaah:

BRP has a Chicago trip planned this summer. See docdoru's link for that in spyderlovers.com General Discussion Area!

I agree with rnet about planning our own event at Americade. Last year the BRP sponsored ride was held on Thurs which would be a convenient day this year as well.

It wouldn't be hard to design a ride to some covered bridges on Vermont. I designed one last year but we didn't have time to take the ride. We could also go into Vermont and ride up Rt 100.

I have never understood why BRP can't announce these events sooner. Folks have to sign up for vacations, register for events, etc. so it is important to know early so plans can be made.

Looking forward to seeing Spyder owners at Americade.

I was thinking of riding through the mountains of vermont so this would work also. We could start by ESI's place in Fort Anne if that is ok with him. It's already on the east side of LG and just down the road from were I,m camped LGRV park possibly a dinner cruise in the evening. Thursday night is the new LUAU cruise, but we would have to decide soon. Be pretty funny seeing folks in a grass skirt.:roflblack:

I hope to make it to the Americade again this year. I had a great time on the BRP tour to Lake Placid and meeting some new spyder riders last June. I don't have any tenative plans to stay anywhere, but I might be up for a day or two. I only hope that my recovery from the gallbladder surgery will allow me to eat all the foods that I like by that time. At the moment it's "blam foods" for now.

A few weeks ago I just happen to run into Scott Walker at my dealer in Essex Jct Vermont and I asked him if they were planning any ride events this year. He said they will be planning something, but didn't have any details for me. So, I guess we will have to wait and see if anything is planned for the Americade. I'm sure BRP will be there somewhere.

I will give them one more week. Seems they have no one cracking the whip at BRP. Less than 3 months out and not even a date to plan around. The more I learn, the less I like.

I will be going for my first long Spyder ride to Lake Geogre with fellow bikes, have my registrations and boat tours arranged. I have heard this bike week is the best.

Buck, it's touted as the biggest touring motorcycle event in the country. Mostly touring and cruiser bikes, a few rockets as they provide some entertainment. There are allot of things going on and great riding all around. Maybe I'll see you there. Make sure you come to town on friday or saturday night and check out Canada street. If your into motorcycles you will enjoy.

Ok since BRP has not done anything to notify anyone of anything that they maybe doing at Americade, I have been talking to a few from here behind the scenes and have been encouraged to set a date for a meet, greet, and a ride. This will allow everyone to make plans as to what there going to do and when. We have decided to keep it on thursday so if BRP does come through, we can just cancel this and jump on board with there schedule. As these plans develop I will post them here. I am thinking a 9-5 event including lunch. If anyone has any ideas they would like to share, please post. If anyone would like to help out, please PM me and will go from there. Why me? I guess cause I'm fairly close, but not as close as Evan and Jody, but you might say they'll be somewhat busy installing there goodies. Also please post if you are interested so I can get an idea how many are going. Thanks, Ron

I got an email yesterday from Scott Walker -- BRP Rep -- and BRP is not going to organize a ride at Americade this year. He said that they might organize something for the Fall.

This means that if we want to have a Spyder ride on Thurs. of Americade week, we will have to do it ourselves.

rnet and I have been discussing this. We could go up Rt 100 in Vt or plan our own covered bridge tour in Vt. We need to find out if there is interest in either of these. Other possibilities are a ride to other sites in Vt., an Adirondack ride or ???

If you are going to Americade, would you show your interest here so rnet and I can get a sense about whether we should get planning. Also, if you have ideas for a day-long ride and a place to eat at noon, please let us know here.

It's our time to ride together.

Yep, talked to Karen Walker yesterday

Hey to all who met us last year at americade for the big ride. Very dissappointed that BRP is not doing anything this year for americade:gaah:.

WE would also be interested in joining in for a spyder group ryde. A covered bridge tour would be cool. Let us know.
