• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Americade, Lake George, NY

We will be there and set up at McDermott's Harley Davidson in Fort Ann.

Magic,

When is it and will you be doing installs? I contacted your shop regarding 4" riser installs. I might be able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone if Americade is not to far off; a trip and an install. Otherwise I will be setting up an appt. for the purchase/install.

Thanks

Crap... I missed this tidbit; heard you were going to be there.

I was up there today... no BRP booth and I couldn't find you guys; was ready to buy a CHAD Windshield and have it installed. So, I bought my wife the Cruiseworks Boots she wanted :2thumbs:

Maybe I'll just need to plan a trip to visit you at your shop :ohyea:

A 385 mile day... not bad, except for the last 30 miles of torrential downpour.

Well, we got to at least say hi to Pat and Ev who were hard at work for the Harley crowd at McDermott's in Ft. Ann yesterday.

We had a beautiful ride on "blue highways" (country roads) out and another beautiful ride home today. Actually, we're not used to riding in such pleasant weather...One thing about this part of the country is the unexpected beauty around each turn.

...Like the cemetery on a back road with gravestones from the late 1700's.

Had a CHAD and 4" risers installed Friday afternoon. Both are working great.

I purchased the taillights and will be installing those. I have a BRP sport rack/back rest. Evan has not done one of those yet and didn't know how long it would take.

I must say he did a great job of modifying one of the caps on the risers so that a 45 degree RAM mount could be installed.

I saw a couple of Spyders in the area on Friday.

It was great meeting up with everyone at the Spyder Rally up to Whiteface Mtn. Nice to see those who dropped by Garrison's on Sunday too. Sorry I was a few minutes late, I just rolled into Lake George at 7:10PM.

I think this was one of the best weeks at Americade weather wise. I managed about 2000 miles for the week. (of course that includes the 1000 miles getting there and back). Next visit will be the SMOKIES. Maybe I'll have some Corbin Bags by then.

Hi Star Cruiser! It was great meeting you in person! Hopefully we will meet again for another ride in the future! The rally to Lake Placid was a fun time.

SO tell me if this was all our heads.

Everytime we'd wait in line for something at Americade, we'd hear the vendors say to each customer ahead of us "Thank you. Have a nice day... Thank you. Have a nice day."

When it was our turn, they'd say very loudly and slowly
"H A V E A S A F E T R I P H O M E !
T H A N K S F O R C O M I N G ! "

Barb figured since we were both in all Can-Am gear, that everybody thought we were from Canada, so they were speaking very slowly and loudly to make it easier to understand their language! nojoke

Hey, were you with the yellow Spyder outside the Leather Shop that we waved to yesterday??

Might have been... was waved to a lot there ;) AND on the ride up. Amazing how many kids wave from their cars as you go by.

I did meet SpyderDude while walking around, nice guy.

Unfortunately, we planned this ride last minute so I didn't have time to better coordinate meeting other :spyder: owner's up there. Though, I did see at least a dozen parked in the lots walking into town.

Thanks Zerocool. Was nice meeting you as well. Met a lot of great spyder owners this week. Also met a lot of them that didn't know about the spyderlovers or spydertalk and hopefully will be signing up. Was a great week of riding too.

And got a few more mods put on the spydie.....New driving lights, Yellow LED lights (The really light up the spyder).......and new seat beads!

Looking forward to Gatlinburg TN trip in September!
