:yes:I rode from South Bend IN to Lawrence KS Sunday, and Lawrence to Silverthorne CO on Monday. Not a single problem. Rode 275 miles today through the Rockies South from Silverthorne to Buenua Vista to Independence Pass, the to Tenn Pass then north and looped back to Silverthorne. There was not a single cloud in the bright blue sky and was 68* most of the day. Truely amazing senery. If you haven't been here you better get here. I'm doing the Shamrock tour from Roadrunner Mag July/Aug 2011. Off to Rocky MTN National Park Wed.:2thumbs:
Day 2: Rocky Mtn. National Park in both directions. Only had one issue to deal with. When I got to the Alpine visitors center at 12k ft a cold front had just moved in from the north. The wind was a constant 50mph. Wasn't terrible eastbound, but coming back was head on into a 60mph wind. I thought my helmet was going to be ripped off my head. However the weather is was still a great day and Pearl did just fine, she pulled me up those mtns with verry little effort. Have to reward her with a shower on Thursday.
