• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

THINKING of taking out my gas gauge on my 2012 RT se and installing a back up camera in its place. Has anyone done this and if so, how happy with it are you and what kind did you get
Thanks.

Have not heard about anyone doing that yet. Let us know if you do. It sounds like it might be a workable idea since I really do have a bad neck. :roflblack::roflblack:

Sorry Jerbear--you did leave yourself open on that one. :roflblack:

I don't think that he mounted his monitor in the dash...
It's a workable idea though... Let us know what you come up with!

I know Dave and Teddy added on but his was a teddy cam, put the camera on his utopia backrest and the monitor on top of the dash so he could keep an eye on teddy.

Phil added a back up camera http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?24907-Phil-s-Mods and there have been a few others.

I've looked at it but have not found a neat/clean way of adding one. I've asked for a feature request from Garmin, they should offer video input to their zumo units. The issue is water proofing the monitor, most cameras are waterproof but the monitors are not.

The simplistic one to install would be the wireless license plate type, thought about putting one on the RT-622 licenses plate, but again the monitors don't look right. Not a huge fan off after market hang off's. Would be nice to see one professionally fabricated into the dash.

The new Gopro 3 as a wireless back that's streams images to an iPhone, you could put your iPhone in an otter box and use a Gopro that way you could use it as re-view/back up camera and recorder at the same time. Plus it's waterproof.

There's probably a good way to turn the fuel pod space into a decent spot to mount something; but sticking a very tiny display in there probably wouldn't be too useful at more than an arm's length...
