There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Sadly Passed Oct 2024 - RIP
I realize this is waaaaaaaaaaay off topic .... but I read an article published by the Cleveland Clinic that looks very promising .... ( google Cleveland Clinic Viagra study for more details ) .... the short version .... over 7 million people were look at for the past 6 years, 70% of the subjects didn't get Alzeimers. Further clinical are planned. .... I don't take Viagra, but am giving it some thought ..... Mike

Your Health

:chat: One of the many diseases that are hard for families to deal with and understand.
Hopefully some help will be found soon.

Thanks for the post. .....

BlueKnightMike, not only a 'good' comment, but a 'great' comment. Can we say here that some folks have no compassion? If not, then the mods can delete this immediately.

As a member of a family who has been touched by this disease many times, this is good news to hear. Unfortunately the males on my moms side of the family often get this disease, and although the males on my dads side don't, they tend to die from heart disease around age 70. I am currently 55 and (thank God) only take a pill for acid refux. But I do often think about what might be in store for me later in life. Thanks for the information, and I am also thinking it will keep the wife happier also. Lol!

Why am I not surprised about your post ????? .... If you think Alzheimer's is a JOKE !!!!! .... well I won't comment further ..... Mike

I don't think Alzheimer's is at all funny. I thought YOU were joking about it with your Viagra connection.

My mother died of it. My sister and I lived through her condition daily for several years.

" Wife happier also " :roflblack::roflblack: ..... I get that ...... As a side note " viagra " has already been Very well tested, so it doesn't need the same lengthy testing process, because it only needs to be RE-PURPOSED to be recommended to treat Alzheimers ...... good luck .... Mike

Sorta like they are doing Botox. It seems to be used for almost everything these days.

Botox/ Viagra Who knows-------

.

Off topic sorta:
A British medical team found that the " time of day" that the covid "vaccine" was administered effected the anti-body count......... So Viagra just might be a treatment for a nasty "oldtimers" desease. GOOD!!! Too bad they didn't look into this 10 years ago.

Hope this is the "silver bullet". But OTOH----- we still have the common cold???? But if Botox works on migraine headachs--- who knows?????

My Mother died from A. I'm probably prone to get it, so anything related is of interest to me.

On a side note as mentioned above... There are doctors that have been looking at existing drugs to combat covid. They have had great results, but of course, they have been cancelled and their info is having a hard time getting out. As they say, "Follow the money".

I think this kind of research could yield some amazing results. Not to mention it would be significantly cheaper to produce and dispense.

I have read that it's Not really healthy to take Viagra if you don't need it. I don't need it but take a tablespoon of Whey protein with 2 or 3 red grapes which is like heaven on earth?

Botox has been found to be pretty good for some female bladder issues. Not 100% and kinda spendy since it has to be done internally but for those with those issues, it can help short term.

For those of us with prostrate issues, that little blue pill is a lifesaver.

I’m going to chime in here and invite the other mods to delete the entire thread and my post if they like. Like many here I lost both parents to Alzheimer’s. I know the pain and suffering it causes as do all of us that have watched a loved one go through it. I also have two children currently losing their lives to a disease called Friedreichs Ataxia. I don’t deserve any more or less sympathy or compassion than anyone else nor am I asking for it. I can’t imagine anyone on this forum that hasn’t lost a loved one at this point no matter the reason. The loss and pain are the same.

What I will ask of this community is to share these stories with compassion as well as hopes for cure or less suffering. If you can’t do that please don’t post in this thread.

My mother got hit pretty hard prior to passing (not Covid). Was told it hastened her end. Not a good thing to go through !

:agree: . After all, this IS the Off Topic section of the Forum, and apart from a few forays trying (not too well) to either make a joke of of the subject or divert it into something else, it IS something that effects many greatly (my Family amongst them!) & as a result I too believe that it is a subject worthy of discussion.

I don't believe there is anything here so far that warrants deleting the thread, posts, or even closing it; but as anyone reading it should be able to see, there's more than just one of the Mod Team watching the thread VERY CLOSELY! So please, heed the warning above & post accordingly. :lecturef_smilie:

That’s just awesome news! I watched my grandmother wither away and eventually die from this horrible disease.
