Aluma Trailer - Anyone done Hub Maintenance?

I have a Lumina trailer from The USA Trailer Store. It seeps grease from both of the inner hub seals. This seepage has occurred since it was new. Has anyone done maintenance/replaced the seals/hubs on these trailers? The bearings do have a number on them but the seals do not. The hub does not seem to want to just slide off easily. I have replaced the original grease with a hi temp grease.

Your hi-temp grease may solve the problem but if not pop out the seal(s) and bearings and take them to an auto parts store and get new seals. You have no idea how old those seals could be. Good luck.

Sometimes we put a little to much grease in the hubs. This can make the seal leak a little. If you have hubs with the greaseable caps this is a possible problem. I always check my level and see if I put in to much grease.

Anyhow all you need to do is pop off the cap and remove some of the extra grease. Then be sure you install it correctly and wipe off your hubs.

Aluma uses Dexter hubs with EZlube system for lubricating bearings (see Dexter publication below). Hope this helps.
