• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BajaRon for brake pads, he only sells the best.

:agree: ....... As for " carbon ( or other ) race pads " ...... If you are considering using this type, from everything I've read about this type, for street use they leave a lot to be desired ..... they need to quite hot, to actually work efficiently .... when they arn't up to temp, they don't provide " safe " braking ..... Semi-sintered is the best for street use ...... just a heads up ..... Mike

I've witnessed soooo many folks throw good money down the proverbial rabbit hole by purchasing and installing race designed products that did them no dam good for normal highway driving. I have to include yours truly in that category too. Like other young guys i spent more money and more hours under my car and under the hood just to make it loud and for nothing more than gaining bragging rights. If it cost more and was louder than before, it just had to equal out to high performance. No one in those days bragged about stopping power, it was all about go power. My, how things have changed.

And I agree. All I did was list the available options. You need to do a bit of research and decide what's right for you and your riding.

EBC are very good for sure. But "best" is subjective. There are equivalent pads for half of EBC, and that may be "best" for that user.

I'm simply listing options. Some folks will be locked into thinking only pads are available for the Spyder are the EBC, when many other for the same caliper on other bikes are available. A quick browse of that auction site shows that pads for the Spyder are 2x of the identical ones listed for the Ducati Diavel. That's just good business, charge what the market will bear.

Options are good and so is research, however many don't bother with the latter. Those of us here who forward recommendations with good intentions might do well to include a bit of research info also. Your response is well taken and informative.

I found that out too. The front pads are the exact same as those used on a bunch of BMW motorcycles, as well as Ducati and many more.

I switched from the stock to EBC because of noise and wanting better braking. The EBC pads worked really well until about the half way point, then they started making tons of noise with too much dust accumulation. I tried all of the tricks, but they still were too noisy for my tastes and there's nothing to be done about dust, so I switched to GoldFren (for the BMW GS/A). (I have used GoldFren products before with good results.) They worked really well, but I traded in the bike before I could get/give a long term evaluation.
