• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Almost sold her

Well, my dealer offered me a sweet swap for my RT, and if a nasty health issue hadn't arisen, she would be history. It's not that she's been unfaithful, but she's as farkled as she's going to get, there are still some trust issues, & its time to start a new project.

After the 2013 debacle, and the various problems with the earlier models, I have less than no interest in a new Spyder, but the ease of riding the old girl, and some the "creature features" would be missed. One day, the right deal & time will come, it's just still out there.

Tough times..!!

unfortunatly this has developed into a really tough time to switch, sell, or upgrade. What with issues with the 13's and the fact the 14's are all new and untested ( by Joe/Jane Public) seems hanging on to your ryde is a wise choice. Like you said the time will come...!! :ohyea:

I bought the "New and Improved" 2013 before the poop hit the fan after reviews and recommendations from here and elsewhere. I won't do that again fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. Wife said I could get one but I will wait till 2015 and make chicken soup out of chicken crap in the mean time.

The way it looks, the acceleration and stability (under 65mph) , the way you can use it as a grocery getter and buying limiter if I take the wife :roflblack: she can only get so much into it and the ease of operation. See I am not a total hater just disappointed with some of the obvious engineering heat flaws. I imagine IF the 2014 works as advertised without flaws I will have one in 2 yrs.

known good dealer

dave, why can't you take your bike to a known good dealer and get the problems resolved. it's all warranty work, right ?

Because the time and distance to good ones as well as the simple fact that the issues do not have any fixes that are proven...yet. I do not trust the BRP alignment process so I have to wait till the end of NOV to get the alignment I want done by Rolo/Outlaw. I am considering taking the pipes off and sending them out to Jet Hot for ceramic coating ( I believe this is what BRP should be doing for 2013 instead of handing out tinfoil covers) it works. A lot of the issues have been happening to some degree for a long time on the RT but a few changes to the 2013 make the aftermarket fixes unusable that helped 2010-12 RT owners. In particular the radiator swoop is now one piece with no bottom plate to remove so to use a block off plate you have to butcher it. I am not to that point yet.

The pot was sweetened, and she's gone the day after tomorrow…. It was great fun, but now, off to a different drummer!

I'll have a few extra farkles available next week….

:congrats: on finding yourself with a "sweeter pot" than you had imagined! :2thumbs:
So... What will be coming home with you??

I have ended up with a new Honda VT13, a new Griz 700 EPS, and cash - very pleased with the deal. I now have a bike that is easy to work on, for the few things it will need.

I will be posting my left over and unused farkles tomorrow. Bottom line was almost $19K for the RT.. :)

:congrats: You're gonna love the Grizzly! They have a real nice balance of power, handling, ground clearance, suspension travel, and traction...
But if you ride the rocks; put some serious armor underneath it's belly! nojoke
