• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Almost back in the saddle - who else is still here from 2012-13?

Hey everyone, I've been Spyderless for a few years but have put a deposit on this 2020 RTL and I'm wondering who's still around from 2012 and 2013. Saddened to see Mike (@BLUEKNIGHT911) from Vermont passed away. Is Denman still here? Who else is still on here from back then?

Still here, thankfully. And still living winters in San Antonio, TX and summers at Moosehead Lake, ME. Life is good!!

Welcome back @bhfromme (y) There's quite a few members from 2012-13 still around, some of us still even riding the same old Spyders from back then too (still not tempted to give up my 2013 RT with it's ECU Upgrade & modded juuust the way I like it!) Altho to be honest, it really doesn't feel as tho you've been missing from the boards all that long - I reckon I saw some posts from you maybe as recently as 2017-18?! Do you feel that the years go past faster the older you get?! I certainly do! ;)

Bob Denman is no longer a member, and you've already noticed @BLUEKNIGHT911 has passed, as has Dwayne, @ARtraveler/AKSpyder, and and more... :( There's a few more who've left for a variety of reasons, mainly age related, one way or another; and there's more who've passed too - it seems we're all getting older (I don't really mind the 'getting older' bit, but this 'growing more decrepit' thing really grinds my gears tho! 😖) Not gonna let it stop me yet tho, I'm aiming to do at least another 100,000 miles on my Spyder before I hafta start slowing down! :sneaky:

We've just recently started an 'In Memory...' thread that's already got a bunch of those who've moved on to Ride the Forever Road listed, altho I'm sure there's still at least a few we've missed - I guess it's a 'work in progress' whatever way you look at it! Check it out here:

And again, Welcome Back! 🙂

Actually Peter I did buy my second Spyder in 2017 but wasn't as active here as I was back in 2012. Sold that one in 2022 but just got bit by the ryding bug again this year.

Can't believe you remember me though. As a moderator maybe you have special tools to look up someone's posts?

And Arion, I keep meaning to get the camper up to Lily Bay but still haven't. Watch out for those black flies up there. They're big, mean and they travel in large numbers. I'm definitely spoiled down here on the coast!

Yeah I just learned yesterday that Mike passed away in Oct 2024. You can follow the thread Peter posted above to read about others who have gone before us.

Yes Ron, it definitely counts. So you and Jay Leno have an original GS. I had this '09 for a few years but like a dumdum I sold it.

Still around once in a while as well. Not as active on here as before, but a bit more recently, as a good friend is looking at buying an F3 from a member. I still have a '12 RS that was bought new and gets ridden a bit.
Ride safe everyone!

I joined the forum in 2013 just as I was buying a new 2013 ST-S. Now I am on my third Spyder, a 2020 F3 LTD. I have racked up 124,000 miles on the three Spyders so far.

Hi Bill. I am still here also. Altho I joined in 2012 I didn't do much until 2015 when I bought my 2012. I still have it and still ride it but not as much as before. Age is creeping up on me , but it is better than the alternative.

Jay Leno has #1. Mine is 836. They ran the yellow version first. Mine is a Moon Glow Silver, I think they call it.

Still here as well. Don't post much, don't ride nearly as much as we used to. Every time I start to grumble about getting old, I consider the alternative.

Still here, since January 2013, but haven't posted for a long time. 150,000 miles on two Spyders, but health problems stopped me last fall. Time to quit ryding now, at age 85-1/2, but I still check in and read the threads.

I'm still here. We're a three Spyder family now.

Bob Denman is still kicking even though he's not a member here anymore. I see him on FB every once in a while.

I've still here, been a member since 2012. Sorry to hear that Bluenight and ARtraveler have passed. Bob Denman at one time had the most posts on this site
