• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Almost Attained Lamont Status

I pulled into the BRP site at the racetrack in Daytona with my Circuit Yellow RT-S and accompanying Circuit Yellow 622 Trailer. Lots of folks who were there were looking at some 2012's. A representative from BRP came up and asked if I was a member of the "Spyder 5". I laughed and said not hardly. He asked because he was going to let me park under a black canopy tent that they have provided for Lamont when he gets here.

I did manage to see a good friend Patrick Obannon and met Matt McManus who are both Southeastern Sales Reps for BRP. I've known Pat for years, and although he didn't know my user name for spyderlovers, he had read one of my posts about the ball joint fix, how good it rode, and immediately knew it was me.

The weather was beautiful over in Daytona. Cool and breezy. Beautiful blue skies and lots and lots of bikes. I saw a couple of vintage motorcycles that I know Scotty would have enjoyed. Unfortunately I couldn't tell you the make or model.

BRP and one other manufacturer (I think it was Honda) were offering their usual test rides. The others were there, but no cigar for testing.

I had a lot of compliments on my spyder and trailer. (especially the trailer in that BRP/Can Am does not provide the trailer in circuit yellow. Pat said it was a great paint job my dealer did for me.

Ya'll come on down, ya hear?

Sorry I missed you..................

Chris, here I am, a week early. I hated that I didn't get to meet you last Friday at Hollerbach's and I returned to KC before Bike Week. Oh well, now I won't be bummed out that I was at Bike Week without my Spyder. Kinda like going to the prom without a date.............

You could have told them that you were Fred; He's always out on the road, so they probably don't know what he looks like! :roflblack:

Jim, it was absolutely great talking to you. If you are ever in the area visiting your brother again, please please please give me a call and we'll get together.

Hope all is well your way.

Chris

I told them you're my brother from another mother ;)

Looking forward to seeing your rig and you Bro. I'll be there Wednesday :doorag:

I will be there Sat the 16th for the owners event. Look forward to meeting some of you then.:doorag:

You were looking at vintage bikes and I was shoveling three feet of plowed snow and ice out of the driveway at the new house location. What's wrong with this picture? I'm gonna get my head examined as soon as I find my marbles. :roflblack: Glad you had fun!

:agree: When I first heard, "Yellow", I was worried that it'd look like a School Bus...
My fears were unfounded; it's looks great on the Spyders! :2thumbs:
