• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

 I just picked up my RT after having the purge valve replaced and it ran great. Maybe I'll even get better than 20 mpg now. :yikes: It only took 11,000 miles to get the bugs out but if it keeps running and handling like it did today I will be one happy camper.

We are leaving on Tuesday for the HD Road Glide Forum's Shark Week III in St. George, UT and I was worried that my Spyder wouldn't be out of the shop in time. I've been home for a whole week and it is time to hit the road again.

A big thank you to all of the Spyderlovers who take the time to post about the issues they are having with their machines and the smart ones who tell us how to fix them. If it wasn't for you my Spyder would probably still be in the shop.

Sounds good!
Glad to hear you're getting the gremlins out!
Believe it or not...57 degrees this morning, and it's only 76 right now in KC in July!! Great day!
Ryde Safe!

That is very good news! So glad to hear it. I hope the bugs are banished forever.

 Glad to hear they got you back on the road again. When the purge valve was replaced, this also solved your clutch problems???

What problems did the bad purge valve cause?

It caused the Spyder to run very rough, it wouldn't idle smoothly and would go between about 1200 rpm and 2000 rpm. It stalled a lot and I was getting about 20 mpg. I'm taking a long ride to breakfast this morning and I really hope to see some improvement in the mileage.

Hopefully your problems are purged from your RT forever.

And don't forget to tell us how breakfast is this morning.
