• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Alignment

I recently purchased a 2014 Spyder RT SE from Schronce Powersports in Taylorsville NC. I really like the bike and have been riding motorcycles for over fifty years. This is my first trike and the handling is completely different and I was having concerns on handling especially in curves. I took the bike back to Schronce and asked them to check the alignment as they have the laser alignment. The alignment was off on the right wheel and they made the correction and now the bike handles much better in curves as well as not being twitchy at highway speeds. I am now satisfied with the bike but was disappointed that BRP would not cover the cost of the alignment. However, I do recommend Schronce to anyone and appreciate Brett and Josh's attention to my bike.

I agree that BRP should properly align these machines at the factory, or at the very least, cover the expense of getting them laser aligned after purchase. It commendable that your dealer took care of this for you.

I find it interesting and absolutely amazing that BRP is so cavalier about the :cus:-poor alignment of Spyders when they leave the assembly line.

This is for sure an ongoing issue.

IMO: the :spyder2: should come from the factory properly aligned
OR
A laser alignment from a knowledgeable dealer should be part of the set up process.

Failure to do so has made a great aftermarket for some nice people.

My dealer has brushed it aside--to much of an investment? :yikes:

There is a real need for the laser alignments. They do work. The difference is night and day. This comes from a hold out that thought it was a bunch of hooey--until he was shown the light.
