• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

alignment/wind deflector updates

I did my own alignment last week. Today, I logged three hundred miles, and if that short mileage is any indication, its better. The bike feels more relaxed, tracks straight, and isnt as twitchy. Now to watch the tires...

I have the wind deflectors on, with two mods, and like the way they are working. First, I have trimmed the outer most wing off the deflectors. Second, I bought some 1/4" steel spacers (like little barrels) to move them out from the body a bit. I figgered a bit of air running through couldnt hurt. I made sure to put steel washers against the tupperware to prevent the spacers from punching through.

Also, I put an extension strap, about 6", to allow the muffler to swivel downward a bit. Too far and it scrapes on bumps or with a load. My thought was to move the stink out of the blast zone.

Its working well.

YMMV.:ani29:
