• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Alarms

Any luck with the auto start on the Viper 5901. I'm currently in search for anyone who can help out my installer. I also have the Viper 5901 installed with auto trunk release and would like to add the auto start to my 2010 SE5. The auto start works on an SE model as I have seen it. Please let me know if you gotten yours to work.

Thanks

Good luck at bypassing the 'M' button as someone mentioned previously.

viper

No changed my mind on it not going to go with it. Couldnt find out as much info as I wanted to so going another route.

I've got a easy and cheap alarm on my spyder. I have the ABUS Granit Detecto X-Plus 8000 lock. It doesn't fit on the brake disc as it should, but I found another place for it. I push down the parking brake and put the lock on the lever. It works perfect!

M2Wild,

I'm switching jobs and will be working at a hospital that is not in a good section of the city. My question is this: is it a bad idea to have an alarm set for around 8 hrs?

I have a Kuryakyn LED battery gauge, which hopefully has some accuracy. Up to now it is always at 2 green lights, which is a good thing.

The main purpose of the alarm would be to sound when someone touched the spyder to prevent forceful entry into the trunk. I don't want to come out and find a broken trunk. I'm not so concerned with someone taking the spyder.
Sorry I didn't see your post sooner. As long as your battery is in good shape, any decent alarm shouldn't be an issue. 8 hours isn't a big deal. But if you leave it armed for several weeks at a time, then that might drain the battery down pass the point of startup. But if the battery is weak, all bets are off.

Question for Scorpio i800 owners.

Did you tie it into the :spyder: wiring, or just connected it to the battery and installed the proximity cable?

Thanks

hahaha nice

Yes think I'm just going to hold off on it for now and use my Springfield until later. HAHAHAHA:ohyea:

I am not sure about the alarm systems, but know there are a few who have them that will likely chime in. As for lighting, what ideas are you looking for? Some think I may have gone a bit overboard in the lighting department, but you can check out my mods thread in my signature block and judge for yourself. :D

welcome to you as well.

Now who thinks that TRON...:coffee:
