• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Alarm system

Has anyone installed an alarm system on their Spyder, and if so what make and how do you like it. Want to protect when away from the bike, like in a motel for the night.
Thanks.

I doubt alarm systems help much... go to any large parking lot and listen.. most always there is an alarm blaring.. hardly anyone pays any attention anymore..
however it may alert you if you hear it..

Don't care if it makes a lot of noise, as long as it alerts me with an alarm on my remote or a vibration. I then could become the deterrent.

I have the Scorpio i900r installed on mine it does have two way FOB. I think it's more to make noise when people want to play on it, I still lock the steering whenever I park

Comfort....

Depends where you ryde and park. Don't have one but also park in groups in well lit areas in relatively safe areas. Motels..stay in ground floor rooms with parking out front or hotels with parking lots. But if you feel better with an alarm get one. There are choices from perimeter to full blown..
