• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Alarm or Panic Button

Cruising RT

New member
Hey ya'll! Bought my first :spyder:Spyder (2013 RT) last September and recently upgraded to a 2014 RTL :spyder:Spyder. I live in north Alabama and there's not a lots of :spyder:Spyders out in the area so I truly understand the curiosity folks have about this new, unusual looking ride and in saying that, last fall while parked at my workplace I returned from making a delivery to discover a older fellow getting on my bike. As soon as I was able to get out of my truck and confront the man, he said he just wanted to check this bike out. After getting the older guy off and having some stern words about him sitting on something that he had no right to even touch. I thought I needed some type of zapper to keep people off. Since that situation, I've noticed way to many people wanting to lean against the bike. I get it, its different, and new, and Gorgeous, but ...... Any suggestions on a motion sensor with a LOUD alarm/buzzer that would help to deter anyone from getting to nosy? Or even a remote button (similar to a panic button on a car remote) to activate a alarm to make people look but not touch. HELP!

Scorpio I900R alarm has a proximity sensor that will activate if a person stands too close to your bike. Other sensors will activate the alarm if the person gets on your bike. You can also put a half cover over the seat to keep people off.

There are...

there are perimmiter alarms (sorry don't know brands) and stretch over covers to help with this. A search here, if no one chimes i, will get you more on alarms etc...

Never had anyone to sit on my bike unless I know them. I do have the half cover when traveling and use it when parked.

Really???

Find the guys car and sit on the hood:dontknow:

Out west we have a BIG event called "Street Vibrations". Mostly a loud Harley event-- thousands of bikes. If you were to be found sitting on another guys ryde you woud get a polite punch in the nose.
If a "toucher" were zapped by your bike someone would get sued( even though they deserved it)

Sitting on my :spyder2: would cause========

Kaos

...a funny one.

We were at Wal-Mart I think, anyway in the next row a man arrived with his cart and started
to put stuff in his car when the car next to him started talking...I could hear it in my car.
Imagine a young James Earl Jones with an accent from the 'hood'...it said :

"If you don't want me to beep the owner inside, Please step away from my ride"

The guy set it off a couple of more times because it was so hilarious...I would love to know
where he got that...

I think that I'd want Joe Pesci...
"Hey Numb:cus:!! Get your :cus::cus: off my bike, or I'll rip your eyes out!" :roflblack:
