• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Akrapovic exhaust?

You can buy the RT Yosh 77 from lots of places and it is very good quality and a simple flange bolt on. I bought mine from Leatherup on a special for $369. delivered!
Sounds great and the removable insert gives you some tuning options too!

 is exactly what I'm doing waiting for Yoshimura to come out with a pipe to fit the ST-S... I emailed their website (and posted the response here) but the response was not very informative with a tone of 'we don't have one yet'........

I'm not used to the quietness of the stock pipe since I had a Yoshi on my CBR.

Only a spot weld on the head of the bolt holds the Insert. Quick work for a Dremel to cut it loose then remove the bolt and save for later.
When you remove the Insert the sound increases to a noticeable rumble at idle and low speeds, much louder than 80db but not as loud as many other pipes.

I ran with the stock 80db Yosh for a while, then removed the Insert for a while, and now have modified the Insert to be more like a Tip and have it back in...
I never seem to get tired of playing with the pipes... this is the 4th muffler on my 2012 RT Ltd!

I think only rt yoshimura is compliant with insert not the rs version.
If its legal its probably too quiet(for me) but also if its as free-flowing as yoshimura but quiet, that might workout for some too, especially til another manufacturer steps up.

why is it?

just don't get it, why is the carbon fiber a $100.00 more than the stainless? are they not the same :dontknow:

Hi Lamont,
What is the differnence between the two versions. I want a free flowing exhaust but like a quiet bike, I get enough attention without adding noise, lol.

Thanks

Just wondering if any one knows the difference between the the two Akrapovic mufflers?

Any clearance problems with the yoshimura and the trailer hitch on the RT, it adds about 2 inches to the right side?
