• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Airhawk

Looking to purchase an Airhawk seat for my Spyder. I think I remember reading most people purchase the R version. Please confirm. Also what has anybody purchased for the passenger? Thanks

I use the Airhawk R with my Corbin seat. When I have a passenger the Airhawk R works well also. I have the 2015 RT limited.

I have a gel pad that I use on my spyder. I still have large airhawk that I used on my M109. But it is too long for the spyder when the drivers backrest is in place, and tends to ride on top of the storage compartment.
The airhawks work very well, but just don't put too much air in them. It actually was more uncomfortable with too much air than with not enough.

I have the R on my '08 GS Comfort seat. Now that I have the air pressure set correctly for me, it is very comfortable.

I don't have one for the passenger as I so rarely carry one.

The "R" version claims to give more "support" where it counts. Read the fine print on their ads--if you dare! :yikes: :roflblack::roflblack:

Air pressure is very important for it to do the job. You sit "in" it and not "on" it.

Back when it was an "issue" for me, in order to ride comfortably, I also used a sheepskin gel--sometimes instead of, and sometimes with the AirHawk--depending on the pain of the day.

Either way, a very good accessory. I bought the medium cruiser version about a year before the R version came out.

i have an airhawk that I would be willing to sell. It has only been used a couple times. Make me an offer, I also live in Ohio so we may be close enough for you to pick up.

Spyder Seat

I've never heard of an Airhawk seat, but I just purchased a Corbin electrically heated seat, with a backrest and fuel door. This is for the 2012 Can Am Spyder RT-SE5 that we ride. One is able to choose the colors, style, stitching, color of logo, and welt. The BRP comfort seat as owners of a Spyder knows, wasn't available until 2014. We think it will complement the Pure Magnesium color of the Spyder, and it can be transferred to a newer Spyder when the time comes.

Airhawk is a seat pad and not a seat.

I put a BRP Comfort seat on my 2009 RS back in 2009.
