• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Airhawk Seat Security Question....

All,

So I just got an Airhawk seat.....question.....when you park you spyder to go into a store or restaurant do you take off your seat and put in a storage compartment or just leave it on? Has anyone ever had one stolen?

Thanks!

Who wants a half deflated pad covered with butt sweat? Besides it has straps that go under the seat.

Airhawk: most of the time I just left it in place. Parking in congested, crime ridden downtown--put it in the frunk.

I leave mine on too, no problems. When I leave my bike for a long period, I take my Radar detector, helmet and GPS and lock it up in the frunk, but not my Airhawk.

I Leave It On.

My Airhawk straps are run under the seat so it isn't convenient to remove. If a thief wants it, he'll have to cut the straps.

 When you put it THAT way... :barf:

We just put our Misty Mountain Sheepskin Seat Cover over it, and the problem was resolved!

I sometimes leave my Airhawk, helmet, GPS and jacket on my bike without any lock. I have never had anything stolen. When I arrive I lQQk around and if the local population seems unfriendly I lock up everything.

I don't want to "live in fear" when I'm riding.
The same reason I keep my "protective" gear to a minimum. BE FREE

Nobody should ever "Live in fear"...
But taking some common sense precautions, if the situation warrants it; is always wise...

Not to hijack the thread, but a Kradellock, http://www.kradellock.com/, is a great way to save the GPS storage hassle during the day. I still bring mine in at night when travelling.
