• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

AIR HORN

I've installed the Stebel, WoLo and this one:

It is slightly more compact, and seems a bit better built. Just as loud though.

I made my own harness and tapped the horn wire for signal. It works great and wakes up the cagers!

I ride in any weather except ice, year round, and it has been perfect.
Is this on your wife's STS? How about a pic from a little farther back? Having only closeups makes it tough to get a good overall view where on the bike it's mounted.

Wolo use.

I have found that ever since I installed the Wolo, I have NEVER had to use the horn (but I have not been near a big city in that time:shocked:). I now use it to warn cattle not to wander onto the road as I am about to pass........mind you, the cattle are in a fenced paddock, but I have to get SOME use out of the Wolo:ohyea:.......(I think the farmer might be getting a bit annoyed though! :lecturef_smilie:

That is on my BMW R1200GS, but I will be putting one on my wife's St-S in the very near future, already on order. I will post photos of the install!

The wiring diagram that has been posted on here for stebel/wolo horns shows hooking up to the battery for power to the horn thru the relay. Has anyone used power from some other place for the horn? Thanks.

Relay/battery

I used a heavy duty relay ( 30 amps) and heavy gauge wire throughout and direct to battery positive. Soldered connections are best ( yes I solder the ring connectors) Striebl is LOUD.

Wimpy horns cause:::::::::::::::::::: Kaos nojoke

Don't. None of the wiring on the Spyder has enough spare capacity to adequately handle an extra load like an air horn and still have a good safety margin.

It actually doesn't... It's BEST to use a relay, and wire it to the battery. nojoke
But it'll work without all of thie "Fuss & Muss"; but I wouldn't want to lean on the horn button for a sustained blast

2015RT Limited I installed a Bad Boy air horn awesome loud sound. rode by a herd of beef cattle and honked the horn the whole herd took off running. at that moment i knew the horn was loud.:p
no need for relay with new 130 motor set up just plug and honk

Wolo BigBoys

I had dealer in Chattanooga install Wolos on both of my 2015 RTs. Then I came home and installed the BRP horns on my John Deere X304 lawn tractor . Now I'm the horniest guy around :roflblack:
