Air filter Kit on an ST

I'm just wondering if anyone has put my Air Filter Kit on a ST and how much room is around the back side of the filter? I put one on a 2013 RT yesterday and there was much more room around the filter than my 2012 RT. This would make for a simpler pre-filter for the 2013 RT.

Not a Lot

Of room that is. I put it on my 13 ST-Limited a few months ago and it fits. I have put over 5000 miles on since it was installed. It solves most of my heat issues. I had just enough room to fit your Pre filter that I just added 3 weeks ago.

I had some concern about the air filter getting water soaked during heavy rain, on the ST there is an opening just under the headlight that allows air flow into the engine compartment and almost directly on your air filter. Well that concern got answered today! 2-1/2 hours of riding in HEAVY RAIN this morning and not a hick-up.

Mine is on an STS, I think there's plenty of room.

Did you get the pre-filter with the orange strap? Was that needed for clearance or would it fit the ST with just a butt joint?

Here is a picture of your kit on my wife's STL.

Looks like plenty of room for the pre-filter with just a butt joint instead of the strap joint that is needed on the 2010 - 2012 RT.

I agree plenty of room except the very back were it is close to the frame. But it is not that bad and it fit easily.

Mine has the orange strap, I put it to the rear but a butt joint would also fit. I think the foam would touch the frame just a little at the top at the rear of the air filter.
