• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Air box leaking oil?

Our RTS leaks a puddle of oil after every ride and I think it's coming from the drain tube in the center just behind the front wheels. I'm assuming this tube is from the airbox. Am I correct? If so, has BRP come up with a solution to fix this? It is very annoying to have it dropping these puddles of oil everywhere.

Could be blow by, Usually it drips from the weep hole on the bottom of the air box, The way you describe it it seems more severe than blow by??
But if it is blow by it's a very easy fix.:popcorn:

Blow by is a problem from the beginning and for a lot of motorcycles, not just the spyder. There is usually a crankcase breather line somewhere and usually gets directed to the airbox. When it often flares up is during a prolonged hard acceleration, the oil in the engine is turbulent and gets in the breather tube, airbox and into the carbs. I have seen some bad positions where the engine oil gets pushed back into the tube and turns the bike into a fog machine, I thnk it was one of the Yamaha 3 cylinder engines.
One other thing I reccomend is dumping the stock air filter, it's not a tight fit. Go with the Green air filter or the Evoluzione air filter. My airbox was full of sand on my first machine, you could see the streaks around the filter seal edges. Those filters are also perfomance filters, so it's a win win.

Yeah, I had the same problem with my Vulcan 2000 LT until I changed the type of oil I was using and that took care of it. It used to spit oil out the air breather and all over the rear exhaust pipe and side cover. Ya'd think mfr's would put some kind of filter in this breather line to start with.
